Music Based Mindfulness


When: Wednesdays, October 20 & 27 and November 3 & 10
Time: 10am—12pm

Music Based Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through being attentive, in the present moment and non-judgementally, to responses evoked by specifically chosen music.

Music Based Mindfulness group sessions offers the opportunity to:

  • Do something positive and creative
  • Take time to clear and refresh the mind
  • To recover a way of life that is more balanced and more in harmony
  • To reflect on what is important, fundamental and essential to living a full and enriched life
Lost in Wonder a book by Esther De Waal [available from J. Garrett Publishing] will be a source of inspiration for these sessions. Topics for discussion and reflection will include

  • Seeing with the Inner Eye
  • Attention
  • Mystery and Gift


Depression Workshop

Dr Dina LoGuidice from the National Ageing Research & Dr Maryanne Confoy from Kilbride Centre will conduct a workshop on issues related to clinical and spiritual aspects of depression.
